The Chair shall:

1. Increase the public awareness of the activities of the Club.
2. Write and electronically submit articles and photos concerning the Club’s participation in local civic projects to the Zone XI Communications Rep.
3. Write and electronically submit articles and photos to the GCA Bulletin used as needed by the Zone XI Bulletin Rep as a resource for ways our club can be represented.
4. Write and submit articles/press releases to local media to cover club activities when appropriate.
5. Become knowledgeable about the GCA and communicate public relations information, learned from the GCA, to the Club. Use the Zone XI GCA Communications Rep as a resource.
6. Work with the Photography Chair and Historian to populate the LMGC photography dropbox for LMGC communications use, including the LMGC website, press releases, future social media content and any social networking for club purposes as allowed by GCA policies and club board leadership.
7. Establish and the manage the social media strategy and content for the Club, to work in conjunction with the website and other LMGC internal and external communications.
8. Meet at the beginning of each year by June 30 to coordinate with the Historian and Photography Committees on what events and  meetings will be photographed and who will be responsible for each event and responsible for photographing a certain number of events. The calendar of assignments will be posted by the Photography Chair on the photography committee webpage.
