Information

The Bulb Committee is an appointed position with a two-year term and during the second term has Assistant Co-Chairs. The primary responsibility of the Bulb Committee Co-Chairs is to effectively raise funds for the club through the annual Fall Bulb Sale and, periodically, through the sale of Indoor Growing Kits.

Chair Job Description

The Chairpersons shall:

  1. Liaise with Program chairs to ensure that fall bulbs can be sold at the September meeting and also determine if Indoor Growing Kit sales are practicable for the November meeting.
  2. Meet to select fall bulbs, order from wholesaler by July 1*, place flyer in newsletter and upload order form to website in early July.
  3. Receive bulbs, fill orders, deliver bulbs and sell unsold bulbs at the September meeting.
  4. Repeat steps 2 & 3 for Indoor Growing Kits, when applicable, ordering by August 15 and completing delivery and sale of unsold kits at the November meeting.
  5. Account for all proceeds and surrender checks and cash to the LMGC Treasurer in a timely fashion.
  6. *The Bulb Committee may also place bulb orders for the Depot Garden at the instruction of its co-chairs.
